lead organizer of NYMIIS
The New York Medical Imaging Informatics Symposium (NYMIIS) is holding its 5th annual event this September 18th at the Marriott Marquis hotel in Times Square, the center of New York City.

NYMIIS will focus this year on exploring the best practices in medical imaging information systems. This includes Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), Radiology and Cardiovascular Information Systems (RIS and CVIS), speech recognition reporting systems, vendor neutral archives (VNAs) and image-enabled electronic medical records (EMR), clinical decision support systems, critical test result management systems, medical displays and methods of image exchange.

You can also learn the latest information about the rules of meaningful use for health information technology as they pertain to medical imaging, and informatics techniques to lower radiation dose. In addition to a gathering of first rate nationally recognized speakers, the meeting will have an extensive technical exhibit area for attendees to see examples of these systems first-hand.

Who should attend?
Radiologists, Cardiologists, Pathologists, Physicians, Nurses or Technologists involved with medical imaging, Chief Information Officers, Hospital Executives and Administrators and PACS and RIS administrators. NYMIIS draws attendees from the greater tri-state area and has grown bigger each year -- and this year they expect another over-flow crowd.
