DOTmed: What differentiates you from your competitors?
We are not laser brokers, we only advertise and sell lasers that we own and have in our warehouse in Indianapolis. Customers are always welcome to visit our warehouse or arrange a live Skype or Facetime inspection of the lasers they are considering.

DOTmed: Give us a snapshot of your business.
Our business specialized only in medical lasers and laser accessories. So we are limited to the field that we have expertise in. We have been exclusively selling lasers for over 16 years. We refurbish and resell from inventory. We also buy directly from selling physicians, hospitals, finance companies and pay cash up front for the purchase.

DOTmed: What makes you most proud of your company?
The majority of our business is repeat customers and referrals that shows our solid and trustworthy reputation. We stand behind what we sell as again we are not brokers so we test every laser we sell.

DOTmed: What new or recent technology is 'hot' in your field?
There are always changes to the laser technology. Laser manufacturers are increasingly building in proprietary consumables for the lasers. So the doctors are paying not only for the laser, but also to use them each time. We coach customers on how to minimize the proprietary consumables with the technology they use.

DOTmed: What are the biggest challenges and opportunities that you face?
Laser manufacturers love the doctors when they are selling their new lasers, but when the same doctor wants to sell the laser, they will not support them at all. So we help advise on how to buy lasers with resale value in mind. Also we coach customers on how to calculate the TRUE cost of ownership with service, consumables, marketing, etc.

DOTmed: What outside forces are affecting your business the most?
The aesthetic lasers we sell are for mostly cash reimbursed procedures so changes to health care only help us. For the surgical and ophthalmic lasers we sell, they are really now standard of care for the physicians and facilities, so acquiring the technology at a lower cost helps their profitability as the reimbursement is the same.
