Joins Canada Medical Devices Delegation to Showcase Technology Positioned to Gain Rapid Acceptance in the Chinese Market

Toronto - Claron Technology, a leader in medical imaging web technology, will showcase its family of Nil zero-footprint medical viewers, along with other imaging technology in the Canadian Pavilion at China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF), China's leading medical show, in Shenzhen, April 17 to 20.

NilRead enables diagnostic interpretation of medical images and related digital information anywhere and anytime on any Windows, Apple, or Linux computer as well as mobile devices. This includes smartphones, tablets and laptop computers used across the enterprise and beyond. Running from a remote server, the innovative technology supports viewing of high-resolution, diagnostic quality medical images and data formats with no software download. Complementing this is NilShare, a high-performance remote viewer for referring physicians and other non-diagnostic users.

"The Chinese medical market is an excellent fit for our innovative Nil technology. We would like to thank the Federal Canadian and Ontario governments and the Canadian consulate in Shenzhen for supporting our participation in the event," says Reuven Soraya, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for Claron. "NilRead's zero-footprint technology can provide the foundation for a uniquely cost-effective cloud-based PACS. The versatile viewer will interface with any EMR, RIS and archive, supporting a broad hospital-wide IT system. Its advanced visualization includes thin/thick slabs, MIP, and volume rendering. Dedicated viewing protocols are even available for nuclear medicine and enhanced MR and CT, enabling use for virtually any imaging exam."

NilRead provides all the features of a departmental PACS viewer including customizable hanging protocols, prior-current comparison and extensive measurements. It supports both single and multi-monitor configurations. NilShare provides ultra-fast communication with referring physicians and non-diagnostic users. The Nil family enables viewing of both DICOM and a full range of non-DICOM images. The technology supports full XDS IHE profile, including comprehensive HL7 CDA documents.

The Nil viewing system offers the highest levels of security and leaves no information on the viewing hardware when the session is complete. Nil GUI automatically adapts to the mobile environment, offering users a superior experience including interactive collaboration sessions.
