Denver, Colorado and Montreal, Canada - Intelerad Medical Systems™, a leader in medical imaging PACS, RIS and workflow solutions, today announced that the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has selected IntelePACS® as the picture archiving and communications system (PACS) for their National Teleradiology Program (NTP).

"We are honored that the VA has selected Intelerad to deliver the technology and solutions required to support a first-class teleradiology program," said Randall Oka, President and CEO, Intelerad. "Our solutions' architecture is particularly suited for highly-distributed environments and proven to deliver high-performance in large-scale deployments, which will be ideal for the NTP."

As the Veteran's Health Administration's in-house teleradiology service, the NTP provides 24-hour teleradiology service to nationwide VA facilities.

"In deploying IntelePACS, the VA's radiologists will benefit from a comprehensive reading and reporting platform with a single worklist, integrated voice recognition and specialty modules," said Oka.
