Mergers and acquisitions on both sides of the pond

by Philip F. Jacobus, CEO | November 06, 2013
This morning, when I turned on my computer and looked at my email, I learned about two medically related transactions that might be of interest to you.

If you have done business in Europe, you've probably heard of Anders Fage Jensen, the CEO at Agito. Anders told us that Vanovi A/S, the same company that owns Agito Medical, has purchased Link Medical Systems Europe.

Link is an independent service company working in Spain, France and Germany.

I knew there was some sort of connection between these two companies in the past and I am sure it's good for both parties because as Agito sells or rents equipment, Link can service it. All of the people I have met from Agito and Link are dedicated individuals who work aggressively in the market.

I would not be surprised to see Agito make a move for MESA, but I do not have a clear picture of what is going on with MESA because their newly appointed president and CEO resigned after a short time. I am watching that company closely.

Here on our side of the ocean, Business & Legal Resources, a compliance information provider, acquired Health Leaders. Honestly, I was glad to hear about that because I love it when media companies are acquired for big bucks.
