Medical equipment management company TriMedx said Monday it hired Richard Aichele to serve as its West Region sales director.

Aichele has spent the better part of a decade working as the West Coast or Southwest sales director for large service firms and OEMs, such as GE Healthcare, Philips Healthcare and Aramark Healthcare. Most recently, Aichele was Draeger Corp.'s West Coast sales director, according to his LinkedIn page.

"Richard's expertise in health care sales strategies and knowledge of West Coast health care organizations are important additions to TriMedx," Thomas Vorpahl, TriMedx's COO, said in a statement.

TriMedx, based in Indianapolis, Ind., is a subsidiary of Medxcel, which in turn is owned by Ascension Health, the country's biggest Catholic non-profit health system.
