ViVid Imaging guarantees
its new MRI coil program
(Newport News, VA) - Vivid Imaging has launched its VIVID Advantage Coil Exchange program, the first of its kind in the industry. The service offers end-users unlimited access to MRI exchange coils for a low annual fee.
"This service provides a long-awaited solution the problem of uptime," said
Scott Scofield , CEO of Vivid Imaging. "When a coil is down, [a healthcare provider] must either option for an expensive coil exchange or a lengthy coil repair. If you are lucky, that company may have a loaner coil, but no company stocks every coil. Our service answers those challenges for less than the cost of a repair."
"This program guarantees our clients that a backup coil is available to them for same day shipping," said says Curt Hagg, Sales Manager for North America. "What's more, there is no limit to the number of times they can exchange the coil during the annual contract term."

Typically, when a coil doesn't work, the customer's first option is to repair the coil, Hagg explained. This can usually take five to 10 business days to complete. "That might by okay if the provider has a second MRI and/or a second similar coil to perform their scans, but this is usually not the case," he told DOTmed News.
Instead, Vivid Imaging's contracted customers will be guaranteed that a quality, exact match, or compatible coil will be available for them, ready to ship, with a 90-day warranty; therefore, significantly reducing their down time and getting them up and running in 24 hours.
Customers for the new service will likely include end users, multivendors, and OEMs. Vivid Imaging has also expanded its MRI coil services to include European markets from its Belgium office.
