The 4th Annual Imaging 100 will bring together leaders from all facets of the medical imaging industry March 20-23 at the Chateau Elan Golf Resort & Winery in Braselton, GA.

"Our goal is to have close to 100 percent representation across the industry including radiologist-owned facilities, IDTFs (for-profit imaging centers), and outpatient radiology department heads," said Douglas Fischer, CEO of the Summer Group, which is hosting the conference for the first time.

The top 25 imaging groups are expected to attend, along with health care providers and vendors, including major OEMs and equipment refurbishing companies, joint venture law firms, real estate firms, and outsource accounting groups.

Leaders and experts alike will discuss best practices, the opportunities of reform, and how to jump-start imaging organizations for the next decade.

"We hope when they return participants will have gained an enhanced vision of future opportunities, an employable idea that will stimulate their organization, several new peer relationships, and renewed energy to drive innovation," Fischer said.

Imaging 100 is by invitation only and is exclusively for CEOs, Presidents, CFOs, COOs and selected VPs of outpatient imaging companies, hospital radiology departments and other private radiology groups.

One of the many interesting sessions will be on "Leading From Strengths for Sustained Success." This forum will be led by Ernst & Young executive coach Charlie Baker, and Tommy Thomas, PhD, Management Team Leader.

The event will begin with candid discussions around leading from strengths.

"Most executives and professionals limit their potential through the way that they understand themselves and others. Charlie and Tommy will show you how to reframe your world view in an 'opposite strengths framework' for a renewed understanding of the personal resources to become more successful," Fischer said.

On an operational level, several sessions will be devoted to growing the imaging practices including, "What Happened to my Imaging Volume? How the Dynamics are Changing the Traditional Referral Process." This forum will evaluate how Radiology Benefits Management (RBM) firms have impacted volume nationally, and debate the role of RBMs in the future. It will also cover trends in reimbursement, changing insurance products, and other vital topics.

For those considering acquisitions or consolidations in 2010, there's a special session on best practices and other elements of these deals.

Other topics include: Buying Smart--Intelligent Spending for DICs, Defining Viable Strategies for 2010 and Beyond -- Perspectives from Key Industry Leaders, Healthcare Reform -- What's In It For Me, and Leadership Strategies for Building Customer Loyalty.
