The Medtronic Capnostream 35 Portable Respiratory Monitor combines Microstream capnography and Nellcor pulse oximetry technologies. It is designed to be at its best when things are at their worst. The Capnostream 35 provides real-time, continuous monitoring of a patient’s respiratory status.
It measures end-tidal carbon dioxide (etCO2), SpO2, respiration rate, and pulse rate. The monitor is designed for use in virtually any clinical setting.
The Capnostream 35 is portable, rugged, and lightweight, facilitating easy movement of patients between different hospital areas of care. It uses a CO2-specific infrared (IR) wavelength that is highly accurate and unaffected by the presence of other gases (e.g., O2, N2O, He, or inhaled anesthetics).
Smart Capnography Algorithms alert clinicians to early indications of changes in respiratory status, while also reducing nonactionable alarms to mitigate alarm fatigue. Combines four real-time measures (etCO2, SpO2, respiratory rate, and pulse rate) into a single inclusive assessment of a patient’s respiratory status.
For patients who do not require capnography monitoring, a single Nellcor sensor offers continuous access to oxygenation, pulse rate, and respiration rate, providing more accurate measurements than manual spot checks.
