The Jouan B4.12 centrifuge has a sheet iron case, varnished with epoxy powder. The stainless steel centrifugation chamber is extractable both for easy cleaning and or inspecting the motor carbon brushes and the service fuse.
The d.c. motor has a p.m. field which greatly reduces heat and insulation problems; it is mounted on an antivibration support stabilized by a suitable mass which makes it stand imbalanced loads, within certain limits, without suffering or causing damages.
