It's been a bad year, but....

For many of us, and for many reasons, 2020 has been among the worst years in our lifetime.

Many of our friends have died, everyone's life is upside down, we can't see our relatives, we can't travel, lots of people are out of work and some companies are permanently out of business.

Still, there are some things we have to be thankful for.

We have to be thankful for our healthcare workers because they have kept us alive. We have to be thankful to our law enforcement, our firefighters and first responders, not only because they had to work harder, but they have to do it in a time where they are likely to be exposed to the virus.

We have to be thankful to scientists that have worked so hard to develop a vaccine and in fact, several vaccines.

And most of all, if you are reading this, you have to be thankful that you are alive because all of us know someone who has died as a result of this pandemic.

I am thankful for my wife for putting up with having me around and for all the friends of mine who have reached out and stayed in touch.

Most of all, I am looking forward to next year.

Happy New Year and remember that every time you have the chance to say thank you to a police officer or healthcare worker or fire fighter or someone who works in the grocery store or pharmacy or mail carrier or any of the many people who risk their lives for the rest of us... take the opportunity to say Thank You!

Just imagine where we would be without them.

See you next year.
