Those of you who know me, know that I am a partner in MR imaging centers. Almost 100 of those facilities are located outside the United States.

I had to find a way to handle logistics of getting mobile and fixed site MR systems shipped and installed in very remote locations. I also had to do it on a budget.

I visited lots of different facilities and all of them showed promise for one reason or another but in the end, I decided to work with Ronnie Taylor of SVSR, Inc. in Harmony, North Carolina.

On the surface, you would think Harmony might not be an ideal geographic location because it is not close to any of the big ocean ports. But the support and customer service that I felt in my gut that Ronnie would give me, caused me to proceed with him.

Really, SVSR is the classic success story. Ronnie is a visionary and a problem solver and each member of his staff brings so much to the table.

Ronnie's team works on generators, air conditioners, chillers, trailers (and when I say trailers, I mean all aspects from painting, patient lifts, RF Cages, DOT inspections, and a lot more).

When I said, "Ronnie, I have a problem because I need to change the cold head compressor on a mobile MRI", he said, "No problem, just show us how."

Checking helium levels? No problem. Building crates, creating complicated packing lists, rebuilding chillers, helping with trucking? The answer from Ronnie is always, "No problem".

And this sort of can-do attitude has resulted in a company that has probably grown by five times in the ten years I have known him. It is an example of what makes America great.

SVSR now has a new building and a paint booth, they are building trailers from the ground up and competing with the big players.

And Ronnie still makes time to have lunch with his elderly father who taught him the business and to take his wife, Jane, for a holiday at the ocean side.

Whether it's Eric who can reverse engineer almost anything and build something out of nothing. Brandon or Chris, who visited the pier and who worked with me in 100 degree temperature for almost two days without ever losing their cool. Josh and Preston, who helped with my HVAC installation in upstate New York. Brandon, who installed a Kohler in upstate New York. Or Jim and his son Matt, who build the crates (Jim is also a great cook!) Or Hannah who works in the office and keeps us all organized...

Ronnie is not the only person in this space that is innovative and creative, but when I read the press release about his new trailer production, I wanted to congratulate him and point out that what makes America great... people like Ronnie and perhaps you, who envision the future and then make it happen.
